What Goose Flag do you use????

There are a number of these flags on the market right now. Being the sucker I'am for gimmick I figure I better get one before the season opens this year.

I want something that can be used on geese that are way out there into about 100yds. ( I wouldnt feel comfortable with all that motion when they are too close)

How long of a pole do you put your flag on?????
What brand/style do you use????

Or did you just make your own???

I have heard that its crucial that the flag have the white V patch under the goose's rump. I dont know how much truth there is to that.

When my Dad first told me about the flags I laughed at him. I thought that the old boy lost his marbles. I am now a believer. Man do they work good, Dad made ours. Black triangle of nylon material on a 6' pole I believe. Search the net for goose flag and you will get plans on how to make one. I think that we made ours for about 1/3 the price. We flag when the geese are a long ways out. If we can see them we flag at them. We alomost stop when they are 100 yrds out.

Never heard anything about the white patch. We don't have that and it works great.
