What gun would this be??

My brother just took his firearms courses - one of the rifles the instructor had was a semi .22 that loaded through a long 'clip' in the the stock that the cartridges were slid into and then the whole 'clip' was pushed forward and turned?

Not huge into the arcane rimfire scene but very curious as to what it was that he had...anyone help me out?

with a black Plastic stock if i remember correctly

Mossberg made 22's with a tube mag in the buttstock like you described ( 151K, 351K, possibly others). I think I saw a picture of a Browning with the same setup as well, but I could be mistaken.

Thats the one I was thinking of Skeet. The Mossbergs have the same "teardrop" cut out in the stock to feed the ammo into.
