what happen to this bear?? (graphic pics)

It might be a large tumor that tore off... I would get a second opinion before eating it. Maybe get a new tag and try again if a wildlife biologist can confirm or deny our armchair speculation.
 
do you hunt over bait?
used to see guys that would cut a hole in the barrel and not round the edges.I've seen big bears with no hair on their arms and little bears bald to the ears from goin in and out of those things.
could be she pulled her head out of a bait barrel to fast and left her nose behind...
