What happened to my 30-30? pics provided

This is a Winchester Ranger 30-30. I just noticed this chip in the chamber. This thing is about 20 years old and has 8 rounds through it.
What happened, what may have caused that?
Is it bad or don't worry too much about it?

I believe this is the second thread with this question in the last month.

What you are seeing is the notch for the extractor to grab the rim of the case. It's supposed to be there. Worry no more.
