What Happened To The Browning BPS High Capacity?

With a 20" barrel, bead sight and fixed cylinder choke the BPS configuration was too old school tacticool and couldn't compete. No ghost ring sight, light mount, breaching tool, picatinny rail, pistol grip, bayonet lug, heat shield and all the other popular accessories.

I'm not fussy on the lack of barrel to magazine tube conection.

May not be a problem but still kinda makes me "think about it" before I get one.

No other reason for discontinuing the high cap?

The extended magazine version of the Ithaca M37 Defense has a supported magazine tube, although it has a fixed barrel like the Deerslayer models or the Defense model with a standard length magazine.

My BPS high cap works flawlessly. Havent seen the problems you described with yours. I shoot slugs and buckshot all the time. No bulging of the stock or any other issues.

Talked to the shop that I bought it from. Sent the gun back and they had a look at it and a few other models of the BPS with synthetic stocks on em.

Apparently all the models have a "rough edge" from injection molding on all of them to some degree. Mine was the last one on the shelf and I looked it over pretty good and they weren't there when I bought it.

They have given me options and I am deciding what I am gonna do with it.

Could keep it, send it back for in store credit, exchange for another firearm or a complete refund.

Not sure what to do. Kinda think it could get worse. I try to keep my guns in perfect condition and blemishes drive me nutz............
