what height rings for nightforce shv on an AR

SO I'm thinking of getting a nightforce shv 3x10x42 for my AR mark 12, and I really dont know what height nightforce rings to get for each, there are 1 inch, 1.375 inch and 1.5 inch.

Anyone care to help me out?

The standard AR sights are 1.5" above the stock. Generally there abouts is what most find comfortable.

Put it in a nice one piece cantilever mount of your choosing and you should be able to get proper eye relief and the height should be about perfect.
With a 42mm objective you could go lower but you'll really have to squish your cheek into the stock to get directly behind it, I find it hard to use regular rings on an AR and still get the scope far enough away to get proper eye relief.

What's your objective OD? Get that half it, if you are running bc caps add another 3mm to be safe. That would be your minimum size. Maybe lower/ higher depending on can't or buis.
