Just like to hear your feed back on a CNC mached aluminum railed forend with true milspec M1913 rail.
Specs
Machine 6061 T6 forend
Machined 6061 T6 Mils spec M1913 rails
Mil spec type III finish
weight 250grams
100% made in canada

Just as a note, other options for railed forends in canada.
ATI $45 but really......
FAB defence $100 plastic
CAA $100 plastic
surefire $130 US $150 ish CDN but ITAR rated so LEO.MIl sale only

Would you pay for a better and canadian made product?

I would buy one, but it should have a socket to accept a basic flashliight like a g2 nitrolon or something. Essentially a threaded hole with a contact and a switch wired to it. Then you could plug it and folks that dont want/have a light yet, don't have a gaping hole in front of their forened.

A bit on the lower forawrd edge that sticks down a bit to prevent the hand from sliding forward would be nice too, with all the shorties these days. But thats only if the picatinny rail on the bottom is removeable. (Hopefully they all are)

Hellicoils are relatively cheap durable ways to allow for these attachment points.

I have an ERGO railed fore-end on my 870 (pretty sure its also on the banned for export list)

B&T also makes a rail forend. $212.16 at wolverine

It's a good idea, but I'm more in the market for that fat surefire light thingy :p .

IMO there are plenty of decent railed forends out there already, I'd rather see an MCS type forend.

Zahal's website has the FAB for US$57 with free shipping worldwide. The plastic is very strong on mine and it works quite well.

I'm all for "made in Canada", but the cost of your aluminum one is gonna be pretty high compared to the FAB one. Will the choice of material make it three times as good?

yes it will machining them from aluminum will make it 3 times as good, will last just about as long as the gun will and will be to spec.
Just like many of the other items we make, its just about the bst made item you will get your hands on, and no pain in the ass export problems.
