Was wondering what is a fair price for nice used Dillon 650XL press that includes the case feeder, and the dies to reload 9mm and 45acp ?

Also, is there anything to look out for in a used Dillon 650 press ?

What would if roughly cost for this press to be able to reload 30/06 ? I'm not sure what all is needed to switch over a caliber change ?

I paid about 900.00 for mine used. Came with case feeder, powder check system, some odds and ends, and dies and toolheads for .38 and 9mm. I thought it was reasonable at the time. Press was 1 or 2 years old when I bought it. If I recall, it would have been about 1400.00 if I had bought everything new.

If you look up Dillons site for pricing, the Canadian dollar may be at par but when I priced out the XL650 shipped to my door, there was another $200 for freight on top of evrything I wanted. It's the small goodies which add up very fast, like, powder check, conversion kits run $100 delivered. If you can find something around $900-$1000, it's hard to go wrong. I found most guys will sell the press and throw in a lot of small extras for nothing. As far as the press go itself, one of the best, with a solid no BS backup from Dillon. Let us know how you make out.

I assume you know there is one up for auction at Landsboroughs next one then?

Just remember they charge about 10% buyers fee plus HST so 23% over whatever you bid.
So if you think $900 is fair stop at $730

Yes, this is the one that caught my eye.....The fairgrounds are a 5 minute walk from my house, and I can actually see the auction building from my front window.

I know about the 23% extra that you pay, but if a $500-$700 bid won the press, then its a pretty good deal, considering all that comes with the press. Sometimes at that auction, you can get some amazing deals, but you can also pay more than market value.
