I don't know anything about blackpowder and have inherited a cal. 44 Made in Belgium pistol which is marked "1960 NEW MODEL ARMY CENTENNIAL trade mark Chicago USA" on the barrel. It has some bluing loss on the barrel and a missing nipple on one chamber. What would be a fair price? Thanks.

Come on guys ... someone has to know. I would prefer if it went to a black powder shooter for a reasonable price then to be stuck in a safe ...
 
That is one of the older reproduction revolvers, made before northern Italy became the centre for manufacture. Centennial is long gone. I can remember them in the '60s. Why is a nipple missing? Are the threads in the cylinder intact? That could be very important, because original parts for this particular revolver could be problematic.
 
THANKS guys for the feeback. The cylinder mechanism is OK. I have been unable to take it apart and cannot say what the bore is like. The wedge looks like it has been banged a bit and might need some penetrating oil. It definitely will need a thorough cleaning. I don't know why the nipple is missing but it looks broken off. Again I know nothing about it other than what I have learned so far but I want to be fair to whoever wants to buy it. I think half of what was suggested is what I will ask.
