What is a good scope on a budget

What is a good scope i can get for a Remington 700 Police .223 cal with a mil dot retical for 250.00 Even a used one i was looking at a Bushnell Legend 5-15X 40 but i have a bushnell Legend 3-9X50 right now and when it was on my .270 every time i cranked up the power it put my shot high any answers to this?? The Leapers scopes that Marstar has are inexpensive and as good as the expensive brands.

Bushnell 3200 10x are about $250 new or $200 used in the EE forum. Good scopes for the money.

I'd get together about 100 bucks more and go for one of the super snipers in the EE, or a new falcon optics.

Budget Scope

Hi there,
Some people insist on buying brand new scopes and that is fine. However, if you are on a budget this time around, you might consider finding a higher end scope second hand.

For the same money it takes to buy a new lower end scope(by the time you add applicable taxes) you could buy a used higher end scope. Who cares if it has some faint ring marks or a couple scratches on the outside. I've never heard someone say they wished they bought a lower end scope, once they've bought a good one.

Just my 2 cents.

i agree on leapers. ppl say they are crap but ive had then on an M14 and it worked fine. only problem i had was that they only have 30moa of internal adjustment , so you need to make sure your mount is good and straight

Up your budget. Take a look at the Falcon scopes.
It's better to wait and get something good, rather than buy something cheap. Buying cheap scopes is more expensive in the long run than buying a good scope the first time around.
