Hello All,

While I was in the gun shop today looking at a 22 target rifle I saw a Lee Enfield up on the wall. I asked to have it handed to me and this is what I saw from a quick inspection:

- The stamp on the action band approximately said: BSA No 1 MKIII*, 1917
- The wood seemd to match from front to back, but it had a brass riveted repair behind the front sight on the top guard.
- The finish was quite good on the metal, making me thing it was a FTR.

The price was $200 on it, which I am unsure if this is a good price. Can somebody here tell me a bit about it possibly and let me know if that is a good price or not?

Thanks,

Corey

That seems to be a going price... I have seen them in fair condition for 250 bucks plus shipping, but by the same token i got one in good condition with a matching bayo for 175 shipped! Nice ones seem to command upwards of 300 bucks. As far as I'm concerned, if the wood is all there and in reasonable shape(that alone is almost worth it), go for it! The last thing you want is regret, which you will likely have if you don't buy it...

if anyone disagrees with me, you better put your money where your mouth is and give me yours for 150 bucks!!! :)

And that still pains me, :p .

Seriously though it seems to be a pretty good price assuming it's not been sportered (ie wood cut down) and the bore isn't shot out. I'd get it, you may regret not doing so.
