Hi,
I have an original, red bag, wood and blued papoose. I stripped the varnish off, and tung oiled the stock, and it really looks outstanding. I bought this firearm a long time ago. Sadly, I have not given it the respect it is due, but this year it is getting the full monty! (it's not abused, just neglected)
This Marlin has the dovetail grooves, and I have read about air-gun or airsoft UTG scope mounts. What does the acronym UTG stand for? From what I have read, and seen online, a one piece scope mount is best for the dovetail, and I would like a small 4X scope on it.
Any advice would be appreciated, and if you know what UTG stands for, that would be great.
Also scope advise, a short 2X would be fine, I'm concerned about pistol scopes having too long of an eye relief.
Thank you for your time.
