What is a XDM?

If a Glock 17 & a Colt 1911 had a baby it would be called an XDM
Now this is the first handgun I have ever handeled that was truely able to be shot with both hands with out any issues. Also thank god they come with interchangable rear back straps because my little girly painter's hands couldn't get a good fit until I switched to the smallest grip size. As for the overall fit & finish well the pic's say it all. This handgun has shooter all over it. Also for some reason there is rail's every were to? It was really confusing to even see it on the out side of the pistol case it comes with. Also if you ever buy one of these check out the big aint Califorina sticker on the side
I want to give a big thank's to Darren @ Saskatoon Gun Works for the hook-up & outstanding customer service. It was as simple as picking up the phone & giving him a call. Now after talking to him today. He said that all of us that baught XDM's from him will be first on the waiting list for spare mag's. Video's and a full range report to follow in a few day's!
P.S. Yes I know...
1 of these days I'll buy a camera instead of a gun...

Looks a little tacky if you ask me. (nobody did, but here I am anyway)
My buddy had the regular XD45, nothing great about the thing, just a run of the mill plasticey gun. Now when he traded it for a Springfield 1911, I was slightly more impressed.
Impressed by the fact that the Springfield was simply a far better firearm, more impressed by the fact that he actually got some poor soul to trade him the Springfield for the XD45 straight up.

Nice. Awesome gun and congrats. I shoot at DVC and Burke. Hope to see it in action one of these days.

High end by who's standards?
I'm very happy with my XDm-40. BTW, the Sigs will cost you at least 25% more. As for HK, I'll pick my XDm any time, thank-you!
The xdm isn't built like a glock.
The build quality is on a par with a Sig Pro
IMHO, Sigs and HKs are nice but over priced.
I have only 4 pistols.
The build quality would go.
1. CZ-75B stainless
2. XDM-40 stainless slide
3. SigPro SP2022
4. G17
Maybe the XDM isn't a high end pistol to some but out of the box. It's not a bad deal for what you get. (assuming you want a holster magloader useable case etc)

BTW when is about QUALITY PISTOLS (ex: SIG, H&K, Wilson Combat) everything is in "somebody" personal opinion: "too EXPENSIVE" or even worse said "OVERPRICED"...
sounds like cheap talk to me, but as usual everybody is entitled to an opinion...right?
