For the money you can't go wrong with a MEC reloader. The 600 Jr. is easy to use and adjust and there are lots of good used ones around in the $50-$100 range. The Sizemaster is a unit one step up from the 600 Jr. and if you want to upgrade to a progressive the 650 is good value for the money. Nothing wrong with others like the RCBS or Hornady either but the MECs can't be beat for the price.

A Mec VersaMec, 600jr. , or Sizemaster would eb the way to go. Easy to find and not that expensive. Almost anyplace that sells reloading supllies will have chargebars or bushing for them aswell. I have 7 Mec press for all guages and haven't had a problem with them.

All of my 4 shotgun reloaders are MEC's. I'd go with a Sizemaster over the 600 jr. if you are serious about doing it long term and it is not a passing phase.

how do you reload, what is needed and what is the procedure

Then it's time to pick up a copy of the Lyman Shotshell Reloading Handbook. It has loads and how to load on different types of presses. It's a bible.

RePete.

It sure is. Lots of good information on reloading. The current edition (4th)is getting a little long in the tooth and doesn't have recipes for some of the new powders but the powder companies have great websites for their products.

I started on a MEC 600 and it's bullet proof and fool proof. In my case the later was more important.
