What Is It And Who Made It ???

Been doing some looking re: Cigarette Guns and there is some interesting info. Maybe that is what mine is after all, I don't know. Maybe it is a guild gun but that depends on what you read. Some people (going by the Internet) say there is no such thing as a Guild gun. The business about the double set triggers, Butterknife bolt, ramp rear and front sight, etc leaves me scratching my head. Some of those same features are also found on certain Mauser Sporting Rifle Models. Could it be an early Sporter?? The more I dig, the more confusing it becomes !!

It has a very good bore and shoots quite accurately. I would like to find the other trigger to bring it back to a double set system. Works very good with the one and maybe the other was removed because it got in the way of gloves !!?? Maybe it wasn't "altered" to be a hunting gun but it sure makes a nice one at only 6 1/2 pounds. Nice for bush carrying.

Nice rifle and a SR to boot, no markings doesn't really matter that much - at least not to me. Tradeex has some double set triggers at about $70,I've purchased a couple. This would probably work for you if the previous set was a unit not an integral part of the bottom metal. A little more work but possible to adapt either way.
