My friend has a stag and it groups about 2” with off the shelf cheap ammo and hirtenberger. I’m sure it would tighten up with match ammo or hand loads. The rifle itself is really reliable from what he says.

I find your poll a bit vague some of us have a MK7’s but built by MRA for optimum accuracy and reliability. (Basically all MRA minus the receivers.)

The BCL 102 MK7x with a IBI barrel that guarantees sub MOA.

it's not a reasonable question or poll.
Too many variables from build quality to components used to shooter's ability ect ect ect.

buy what you can afford it's that simple really.
I went with building up my own stag-10 and there is nothing about my rifle that disappoints me and it shoots minute of squirrel nuts

I had a 102 that was shooting 3/4 moa with a trigger tech and some other upgrades.
I currently have the 24" barrel stag in 6.5 that is shooting 1/2 moa.

There's lots of hate towards BCL but the mk7 may be there turnaround.

Despite previous issues with the company I totally am saving for a mk7x

Who makes the barrel on your stag?

This poll is too vague. Way too many variables to consider. An aftermarket trigger and handloads would make significant differences in either platform

Seeing as the mechanical accuracy in an AR-10 platform is pretty much all in the barrel, I'd venture to say that either action built up with the same barrel and using the same trigger would net you the same accuracy. Some parts just might not fit on the BCL without the use of a Dremel, haha

Barrels, barrels, barrels... with handloads to suit.

I completely agree with Jerry, and a couple other guys, that it’s the barrel that is the number one source of accuracy on either of these AR platforms. A poorly cut or chambered barrel, will never shoot fantastic, no matter what.
After a barrel swap, then a precision trigger, adjustable gas block/longer gas tube, and possibly upgraded bcg/buffer system.
I bought a used Stag in Creedmoor, with only a trigger upgrade, and with handloads, it would regularly shoot around 1 MOA. Sent it to the magicians at Insite Arms, swapped out the stock barrel for a 26” bull barrel Krieger 4 groove, with a plus 2” gas tube and AGB, and it easily shoots more then twice as accurate. Not a cheap upgrade though.
I’m sure it isn’t any tougher to add this swap to the other non restricted ARs as well, just depends on your accuracy expectations vs price tolerance.

Interesting. So upgrade the barrel on either and you like likely get a shooter.

First you need a good quality match barrel (not just because it says so), properly cut chamber, proper gas tube set up and then well tuned handloads. Semis are very sensitive to load tuning (powder and pressure)

But when done properly, they can shoot very well.

I got a used Gen2 BCL... got rid of the barrel, put in a McGowen in 22 CM, sorted the functioning (still needs extractor work me thinks), Timney TARGA trigger, rest is factory.

Been a solid 1/2 MOA rifle for 700+rds of testing so far. Waiting for snow to melt so I can reach out and see how it holds up.

DI ARs can be made to shoot very well..... it is all in getting a proper barrel, and that will cost some, and be prepared to load down ammo to suit.

Function testing a 6.5 CM for a customer after putting in another McGowen in 6.5 CM. 100yds, I think it shoots
