Hello,
First off let me say I did look in the search but could not find all of the answers I am looking for. I would like to load 9 mm handgun rounds. I am looking for a rundown of all of the equipment I need and the approximate cost of each. I would like something that is easy to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is your budget? There is no limit to what you can spend! If you went all Dillon you could spend 2 grand. If you went all Lee you might spend $350.

I bought a Lee single stage press, with pistol it may be better to have a turret or progressive press, I'll let others comment on this.

Some things I definitely feel are necessary, (the parts of the Lee combo which I didn't like) are the deburring tool, go with RCBS or similar, it is much better. Also get a digital scale, a decent one can be had for $60-$70.

Definitely go with the lee progressive press. It is good value for what you are getting. I have it and loaded thousands of 9mm rounds. Not to fussy on deburring and all that fun stuff. I just clean the brass and load it up. The Lee has everything you need. I ordered mine from the factory with the Dies already setup. The only thing you have to watch out for is the primer feed. It can be kinda tricky at times. Still worth the money. I have two of them one in 45 and one in 9mm. I debur and trim rifle only. If you have anymore questions feel free to pm me.

Thanks for the replies. Would 500 cover a basic set up?

if you go with lee you should be close....the little things add up tho like manuals and such

i load 9mm with a lee single stage press it goes not bad i ussually load with a buddy so one person is charging cases while one person is seating bullets we can load around 100 rounds every 10 minutes this way which is fast enough for me and the press kit only cost me $150 around $250 by the time i got dies and a manual and some other small goodies:cool:....
