What is New about the 90TWO?

What is different really? Steel frame, same mechanism? Is the grip smaller? Trigger reach? Do 92fs mags fit?
I am wondering if I should buy one.

grips are interchangeable to different sizes. old grips won't work on the gun. Mags are the same. it has a light rail. new contours to the slide and a few others things too.
I am waiting for the G models.

The frame is alloy. It's not a polymer gun. I was wondering about that too when I was looking at one in a shop last weekend. Beretta has yet to join the polymer bandwagon with their flagship gun.

As stated above, the grips seem to be the main difference. The rest of the changes seem to be mostly cosmetic.

If I bought one I'd permanently remove that cover for the rail. What do you need a cover for a rail for? It looks better without the cover too.

If you like the 92/96 guns, then you should be happy with this as well. I think Beretta makes a nice gun. I'm consistently impressed with how well I can shoot with my girlfriend's 92 despite not firing a lot of rounds with it. Just pick it up and get as tight a group as I can with any other (more expensive) gun :( .

Reliable in Vancouver has one for $999.99. I think any more than that is probably not a great deal, the Canadian dollar being so high these days.

Well regular 92FS is 34.4 oz, so 90-two is 2 oz lighter and yes it does have an alloy frame. All steel Beretta is about 41oz (same as 1911 and P226ST).

I've only handled one, it felt good in my hand maybe even better than my 92FS and you can also change the grip to a smaller one. I know of a place that have them on sale for only $799!

oh and it looks better in person IMO...

Can I order what grip I want? I know the place you're talking about.:D

I just called "that place" and they don't seem to be aware of any adjustment for the grip size. Could it be smaller than the 92?

I couldn't find anything on the Beretta website either.

you mean the grip or the gun*? 90-two only comes with one grip - regular; which is about the same size as 92FS, I've never handled a 90-two with a slim grip but it's supposed to be similar/same as Vertec and Elite 1 models which is a bit smaller. I've heard on the Beretta forum you can get the samll grip form beretta for $10-12...

*both guns are the same size...

I handled one a few weeks back and wholesale. It has a pretty beefy grip. I'd be interested in feeling it with the smaller grip installed. It sure pointed nice. :D

My wife just got one and tried it at the range last week. Beautiful design and has very nice lines. Yes 92FS mags work. The grip is big but she'll likely change it out. Trigger reach is fine. Should you get one?.....we already have a few polymer guns so we wanted a completely metal gun. I was fairly accurate with it she was so so. When I gave her my new CZ Shadow, she hit 10 'A's in a row (on a classic IPSC target at 15 yds).....go figure. Must have been the fibre optic front sight :D
