An argument can be made for all models so OK heres the guidelines ;
Were Canadians so concealment is not an option so I don't see a point to sub or compact series to be listed , and we can't take these hunting - so RANGE USES is what we have to work with.
Throw cost of ammo and pistol out the window *** NOT WHATS CHEAPEST TO SHOOT ***
so were left with to consider - comfort , power , recoil / prolonged usage , cosmetics ( oh this outta get a few hairs up :) ) , stock features , and plain fun factor

After a long wait I just recently acquired my first Glock - it's a 35 , after owning a variety of pistols including 2 S&W M&P9 a 1911 , TT-33 a couple of GSG's

- just want to see what comes out on top - " what IS the best Glock " considering this criteria

so lets here ya

My vote goes for the Glock 20 SF in 10 mm Auto with .40 S&W and 9 mm conversion barrels. For good measure I would also pick up the .22 LR Conversion Kit.

Regards,

Chizzy

Glock 17, 9mm is cheapest to shoot.... .40 is just about as expensive as .45 and the G17 is legal in all shooting "sports" currently being played in canada.
As much as I like the G17...my most favorite is the G34. The G34 is a competition model use in IPSC stock class, because it fits inside the IDPA box, and the lenght & balance of a service pistol, so it serves both practial and tactical.

My understanding is that the G34 cannot be used in IPSC production?

I know for sure its ok in IDPA SSP.

My best Glock

I have two.....Glock 17 Gen 4 and Glock 35 Gen 4. Love them both. Because I reload for .40 I would have to keep the 35 if I were forced to give one up. Plus with all the mods I've made it is an awesome shooting machine.

The only Glock I have shot is my 17RTF. It made me a believer in polymer, so I voted G17.

A fellow POCO club member left me try his G22 in a carbine stock. Nice, but can't pass judgement on a carbined G22.

I am sure the other Glock models will suit others, depending on their preferred caliber/frame size/barrel length.
