What is the best hunting bullet design for accuracy

I just got off the phone with a tech guy from Sierra Bullets and he highly reccomends the 120gn Spitzer in the 7mm-08 apparently it is deadly accurate and at those velocities expands very fast. He said between he and his daughter they have taken about 34 deer with them.

He als recommended a 125 spitzer and a 150 spitzer for my .308 but scratched the 125 when he found out I was in Canada as our deer are bigger, he also reccomended a 165 spt for bear.

I am quite intrigued by the 120s in the 7mm-08 but damn that seems light, considering he scratched the idea of a 125 30 cal. He does say they are (in his opinion) far superior to any 140gn bullet.

I've had the best experiences with sierra's so far use 150gr gamekings in 308 loaded to 2890fps and have recovered 3 bullets from deer all with 65% weight retention. I've also used sierra's in 22-250 and 30-30 with excellent results as far as accuracy goes. For my money you can't beat sierra's. Ive tried other brands and I like hornady's as well but I wasn't a big fan of barnes, nosler, and speer. Not saying there's anything wrong with those brands but I couldn't work up a load that impressed me. I had especially bad luck with speers.

I try various brands now, some seem to work in certain guns some do not.
For hunting, the bullet expansion seems to be the most important thing to look at. Do your want a penetrating type(goes through both sides).Or, an expanding bullet(does not go through). Both these types are based on velocities tested by the manufacturer. Farther and faster is not always the direction to go.
