hi i am looking to buy a scope for my new jr carbine and i d ont know wich direction to look ,i d ont think i am gonna shoot long distance max 300 foots , i need fast target acquisition and precision . what do you think ???

I have a JRC in 9mm as well. Initially I threw an older conventional 3X9 variable scope on it; pulled that off almost as fast and left it for a week with magpul open sights on it. I wound up with a Vortex Spitfire red dot and a Votex tripler, and am really happy with the set up.

the 9mm doesn't have a lot left past 100 yds, so I concentrated on getting the best possible I could for point blank to 100 yds. Out to 50 yds, I flip the tripler out of the way (it tips off to the left with the provided mount) and just use the red dot. Beyond 50 yds, I want some magnification, so i'll flip the tripler back in place, and I have enough magnification to be accurate out to a 100 yds.
There are a couple of downsides; it's long, and a bit heavy, but worth it because the tradeoff is highly flexible. The Vortex red dot and the magnifier have both got really nice glass, crystal clear & sharp to the edges, and they hold centre very well. They're well put together. The second negative is the tripler flipping to the left of the receiver. It blocks your peripheral vision a bit.

Neither problem is serious. I'm REALLY happy with the flexibility of the set up, and the speed I can transition from one to the other. It's well matched to the gun, and calibre and very fast to bring it into play, change from red dot only to magnified and back. Its excellent value for the money, I think

For a scope I'd go with something that starts with 1X- and goes as far as your budget allows.....I'd also get an illuminated model.

Out to a hundred yards a red dot will get you on to targets in the can or clay pigeon range if you can see them!
