What is the Best...?

What is the best, Bang for your buck, multi-purpose hunting bullet? Looking for good retention and accuracy in the 165-180gr range for .30cal.

Lets say something that is good for Deer, moose, elk, goat & black bear.

List your reasons

(Didn't have room for the hornady stuff, like the SST and interbond. I'm sure I missed others aswell)

Good accuracy, relatively flat, high velocity and reliable penetration/retention out of my 300WSM. Stoked w/ RL-19.

Yes, I find the solid copper bullets interesting. It's pretty friggen spendy at $56 for fifty.

What speeds are we talking here 2700 fps or magnum speeds. You hardly need fancy bullets for a 308 winchester.

I'd shoot whatever shoots best. For deer, I use Hornady 180s in my 308. Gonna try some Rem 165s. If I was hunting moose, I might go to a 180Partition.

Don't need to get too fancy with a 308.

X2 2 accuracy matters.

All those bullets work...some work and hold together better. But you still need to get it to that special area..

I have always had good luck with Horn flat base SPs & Rem Cor'locks. Mind you I don't have any fancy mags & most of my hunting guns shoot in the 2000-2800fps range at the muzzle.

My vote would have to be 165gr Hornady Interbond.

Try the tsx, accubond, gameking, interbond and see wich shoots better.
