What is the difference between CTR VS CTR PTS

It will definitely not fit on real a AR tube, I don't believe it made with the same material but it very similar to the real CTR. As for markings it will say PTS on the stock.

Ok, but are there differences that are telltale, markings? are they even made of the same material? will it fit on a real AR rifle tube?

Has anyone tried the PTS on a adj. tube?

I have seen them on Ebay...and they look like they will work. The point is calling them 'airsoft', so they are not weapon parts. Airsoft is big in Asia. Makes it easier to sell parts when they are 'airsoft only'.

And they are the same price as so called 'Real' CTRs so us westerners don;t go out and buy the cheap eastern ones.

I have not seen a PTS item ever. However, if it fits on an AR tube, I doubt it will have any adverse affects of using it on a real AR. I would even hazard to say it would be easier to make it from the same material on Magpul's production line than to swap it for a completely different polymer.

The CTS PTS will fit. They are made for training simulation and as such are more robust than the average airsoft offerings. That said they are not designed for live fire. Tolerances, spring strength, no metal guides, aluminum alloys instead of steel, and polymer design will all be inferior. You get the idea. It is common to utilize real steel components in airsoft as well to increase the level of realism.

But for the eqivilent cost its definately not worth the compromise.

Thank you everyone, for all of the input.
Here is what I've found out by comparison for the MOE handguard. The PTS unit has no heatsheild, and PTS on the by the manufacturers name brand, but other than that, the fit is perfect.
Having said that, I prefer the old school rounds;), and maybe try some Skate board tape on them for a better grip.:)
