What is the difference between soft point and power point?

They are the same essentially. "Power-point" is a proprietary Winchester design of a soft-point expanding hunting bullet with notches scored inside the ogive to help with controlling expansion. "Soft-point" is a generic term for any jacketed bullet with exposed lead at the nose to allow the bullet to expand whether it's notched or not.
