The 525 pack is a wee bit more exspensive per round. In the description it says premium. Other than that they look the same. So what is the difference?

Possibly the individually boxed is more consistent. Check the tightness of the casing as crimped against the lead slug. The 525 has more loose slugs but they are still value for money. And regardless of the brand, those individually packed in cardboard or plastic box, a little expensive, has less misfires or any other issues than bulk packed.

Bang for buck for the type of shooting i do the federal 525 pack is what i shoot. This ammo has been my fav since i started shooting 10+ years ago. 1 in 250 get a miss fire. With this ammo i shoot to shoot stuff. No real accurancy needed. Shot in a ruger sr22.

Until you try both you may never know. Your rifle may well have a preference.
There are lots of brands individually boxed that are cheaper and better than bulk.
BLAZER being one and American Eagle the other.
Do you need hollow points?

I picked up one of the 450 round BYOB plastic jars and the rounds look identical to those in the 525 round Value Packs. I got much better accuracy from the BYOBs than the Value Pack I used for testing, but that is probably lot-to-lot variation.
