What is the lightest weight VZ-58 handguard/rail?

Is it lighter than the factory polymer handguard?

You can probably take factory beaver barf or factory polymer and use a drill press to drill some lightening holes. Just be careful not to over do it.

Polymer with holes drilled. Not too practical though, watch for burns. I'd put the holes closer to the rear sight as opposed to the piston head area

LOL it was just a lighthearted response to the OP, who the heck is really gonna drill holes on their junk.

You don't want holes in lower hand-guard. that's where majority of the gas from piston chamber is going.

OEM configured Cz858 with a folder is the lightest you can get. CSA has thicker receiver walls, so it must be heavier. But not by much.
