What is this? Barrel? Barrel insert?

Picked this up a while ago, no idea what it is. It’s rifled and appears to be .22 caliber, but I can’t put a full-length .22 LR case into it. Is it a bore insert of some kind? But has a rear sight on it? It’s 22.5 inches long, 0.438 diameter on the barrel, 0.625 diameter on the “receiver” part. Maybe an air rifle part?

I have (always have) a 1377 sitting on the wall over my computer, with a 1399 stock. I've had it for just over 32 years. Pretty sure that's not a barrel for a 1377, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Crosman barrel. I know why that guess was made.

OP~is it .22 cal, .177...or something else?

Looks to be off a crosman 140 or 1400 pump air rifle. I have a couple of them.
