Mr. Steppenwolf Sir... please forget about that Limey stuff. I’m thinking about setting up a one time Sat morning 100-yard mini cannon bench-shoot at the Parksville range (sometimes in the new year), and you and your fellow black powder shooters from Port are cordially invited to this event.
That part is actually called a tie plate, and there is a rivet that go's through iyt as well, I have a copy of the 1946 identification list for the No. 4 mk's I, I* , I T, I have taken the time to make copys and reorganize the handbook so that all drawings plates are next to the parts lists, if you like the no. four rifles you should have one of these copys, for $15.00 I will drop one in the mail for you, you won't be sorry there are about 25 isometric drawings on the rifle and bayonet and accesories, with parts list's to match this is the only military handbook I ever found on the No.4 rifle.
