The top rifle in the photo is a 1908 Mannlicher-Schonauer Commercial Action ,action same as 1903 Greek or 1903/14 Greek Mannlicher.Internal rotary mag.

2nd Rifle has same action, split rear bridge style, manlicher bolt with slight variations.
Chambered in 270 winchester has a hinged floorplate instead of rotary mag.
bolt has slit left lug for blade style ejecter instead of sliding cover on left lug as 1908 bolt.

Third picture unknown is on top

Bolt closeups

Floorplate The spring and follower are similar to Norwegian Krag, note side release button

Is this a one off by a very good gunsmith or was it done by a factory?
WHAT IS IT ?.

Mannlichers

Try doing a search under Breda. I recall they may have made variations of the M/S that used a different magazine system.

You can check into this further, but your mystery rifle MIGHT be a sporterized or commercial version of a Danish Madsen based on their M47 action or varient.

Madsen had a one piece bolt .This has a removable bolthead.Sorry Q.B.the only thing new I've found out is that it was rebarreled to 270 by a gunsmith named Switzer I expect K will know who he was.

Mystery solved or part of it anyway. The action is actually a M1904 Portuguese Vergueiro made in Germany. That still doesn't explain the bottom metal.

I have what appears to be the identical rifle except for side panels on the stock, and it was verified as Mannlicher 1945 Sporter by Bud Haynes' boys! I can find no info on this model, so am still at a bit of a loss on anything on it. Mine's an 8mm, but I'lll have to do a chamber cast to determine which 8mm.

~Arctic~
