what is this

Hey all

I had a little package on the step today. I have mentioned to a few people that if they or anyone they knew were trying or want to get rid of firearms , parts, pieces etc that i would pick up or whatever.

Well tonight i find a bag with 6 differnt types of ammo in it.
One type is a REM-UMC 38 WCF. I have never heard of these before. Can someone give me a quick lesson on these?

They look like a nice little cartrige

REM-UMC is Remington/Union Metalic Cartridge and WCF is Winchester Centre Fire. 38 I presume would be the calibre.
Maybe from something like an old Win 92 or 94?
