What is this?

I am only posting the pics in this forum because I found it shipped with an SVT-40. Asked the seller but got no response. It's a brass rod with a spring loaded tip and a round end with a clip of some sort. It's about 14" long. I just don't want to throw it out if it's something useful. Your input is valued:

Ahh yes it appears to be a plunger for a .22 of some sort. Not milsurp at all!

Inner mag tube. Usually for a tube mag fed .22. Which exact rifle it's for is another thing. Ruger had a tube fed .44 Mag carbine too.
What's the diameter? Do not throw it out.

I agree with Buffdog it looks like "Inner magazine tube from a .22 tube fed rifle. End looks like from a Browning pump .22, but can not be sure."Or at least something like that. It could be out of a Model 12 Remmy Gallery Gun as well. The end clip looks the same.

If you want to post some measuments and post a couple of closeup pics....I might be able to help you find a home for one of those....

Yup it's a .22 magazine tube.

Both of my vintage Mossbergs use those.
