What is trap shooting.

Trapshooting is great fun! You try to break little frisbees (clay pigeons) which are flung out in front of you by a machine (the "trap"). Trap shooting is done in "rounds", which consists of shooting off a box of shells (25 shells). Each "round" consists of 5 "stations", and shots are taken at each station. The angle of view of the target changes at each station. It is said that trap is the easiest shotgun game to learn, and the hardest to perfect.

trap shooting is 90% mental........It takes 90% of your money. It takes 90% of your time because it is so much fun. You wish for a 90% raise so you can buy another expensive shotgun. More than 90% of the targets are angles (no such thing as a straight away) 90% of the people I have met doing are great and help you out. My wife wants to kick 90% of my ass because I am obsessed with it. The list goes on but you should try it yourself.

Stupid game !!! - wonder about the fun 35,000 or so shells in !

Seriously, if not for trap, skeet, sporting clays and 5-stand, don't know how I'd amuse myself in the off-season !!!
