What is trigger CREEP???

A trigger with bad creep would be one that moves, creaking, grinding and groaning and then finally breaks. A good trigger will break very cleanly.
Shoot an old SKS, and then something with Jewell trigger. The SKS most likely has creep.

my 700p has a clean trigger, no movement untill it breaks, at somewhere around 4 pounds. My dad's 7600 has creep, the trigger can move quite a bit before firing

Does "creep" include the motion of the trigger in free-play up-take to the point of sear movement, as well as trigger movement associated with sear movement? or only the latter?

"Creep" does not describe the take-up of a two stage trigger, neither does it describe the over travel after the brake. Once the take-up of a two stage trigger has been made and you feel the sear engage, then it can have a very good release...the proverbial breaking glass rod we all search for. Alas this is not so in all cases.

Something that you don't find in a Jewell or simiar trigger....;)
