Anyone mind sharing their pet .243 Win loads? Complete details would be appreciated. I would like to know what works in the real world. I am looking for two loads, one target load out to 300 meters and one hunting load for whitetails to 250 meters. Thanks.

I've shot the 55 grain BT's very well but the wind plays havic with them. I've now gone to the 70 grain BT as my go to for varmints and load the 95 grain BT for deer. I'm away from my load book right now but I think its H4350 under the 95's. When I get back I'll send you the loads.

243 Win pet load

Hi: I've found a great accurate hunting load for my 243 Win bolt rifle...

Win brass
CCI 200 primer
Rem 100 gr PSP-CL
44.0 grs of H4831 sc powder
OAL was .020" off the rifling

I have searched up lots of recommended data , but have yet to try them out...Keep us posted on your trials okay?

Bob

In the old Savage 110, this one is deadly accurate at 100m and decent out to 200m...

100gr Sierra GK BTSP
40.2gr of H4350
Fed 210 primer
Winchester Brass
2.65 COL

I don't know the velocity, because I don't have a chrony, but this load has been used on many, many QCI blacktails and a couple of whitetails.

Good luck.

Can't help you with a target load, but a good whitetail load in my Model 70 is a 100gr Nosler Partition, and 42 grains of IMR 4350,with Winchester brass and primers. Sighted in 2" high at 100, it is dead on at 200, and about 7-8" low at 300. This is a warm load, so work up to it. The Nosler is great on deer in the .243, I'd be hesitant to shoot them them with a more conventional bullet, as it might not penetrate as well

Good luck

I can't help with the deer load, but here's what I use as a varmint load.

70 grain Speer TNT's
Winchester Brass
CCI 200 Primers
40 grains of Varget

Here is an awesome varmint load.
58g Hornady V-Max
43.0 g IMR 4895
CCI 200 Primer
~ 4100fps
I have been shooting this load out of a Rem Model 700 LSS 24" bbl and it puts a 5 shot group on your thumb nail.
And I haven't had one come out of a coyote yet.
