i just tried this two weeks ago.....and for the price of it...what a deal..its the best sauce ive tried in a long time..its great to let a few old moose steaks simmer in..tenders them out in no time

Home made bbq sauce, can't be beat. I cheat on a few ingredients, but it's damned good. Tomato paste, vinegar, brown sugar, soya sauce, pickle juice, pepper, tabasco, liquid hickory smoke, ketchup, mustard, garlic. The smoke is the key.

Boil garlic from one head in two cups of water for a couple minutes, until garlic becomes soft, than take garlic out and make paste. Put the paste back into the pot, and empty a can of tomato paste there as well. Put there 4 spoons of vinegar, one spoon of brown sugar or honey, your favourite spices: ground pepper, paprica powder, chilli etc and stir on low heat for a few minutes, add salt to taste. Cool in a larger pot of cold water, marinate stakes and apply to the stakes with a brush every time you turn them over.

Enjoy! :)

To me its a tossup between Cattleboys and the PC beer & chpotle. But I find neither of them is spicy enough. Anybody tried adding some stuff to either of these? I was thinking of blending in a small bottle or two of habanero sauce (the "ring of fire" variety).
Always :D I always mix the sauces to make your own "special" sauce! ;)

I usually make my own (PM if you want a recipe, I have 4or5 recipes) but with all this talk about the beer and chipotle from PC makes me want to try it.

In the last year or so I think PC quality has been top notch.

I mix these things up for my BBQing ... usually this is the mixture ...

-Diana's Honey Garlic Sauce(main portion)
-Red Hot Sauce(several shakes)
-A1 steak sauce or HP steak sauce(several shakes)
-Mrs.Dash Herb&Garlic spice
-Seasoning Salt
-Coarse Black Pepper

Marinate your meat(chicken/porkchops, tuktu/caribou, ribs) night before or you can just keep basking it with a brush while you BBQ it ... MMMMMMM MMMMMMM good snitz ... ;) :D
