Just shot a friends 45 Long Colt last weekend and it was the best feeling rounds I have ever shot. Accurate as hell, but you couldn't tell by my target.

He, on the other hand, grouped those suckers tight.

I like revolvers that can chamber .357 mag and .38.

.45colt is pleasant to shoot.
.38/.357 are usually very accurate.
I like my SAA as much as my 686 so it's a toss up.....

Personally, I like .38 Special.

It's accurate, inexpensive and nice puff loads for plinking.

I'd have to say .357mag.... a powerful load if need be but one can also use cheaper .38spl.

That and a .45ACP revolver would be nice too.

Mine used to be the 44 magnum with moderately hot loads but it recerntly was overthrown by the 454 Casull. The 454 is a real challenge to shoot well. I particularly like shooting 390 or 400 grain bullets running 1200-1350fps. They are not the hottest load (most energy) that the 454 produces but there's something really fun about shooting those big heavy bullets.

.45 "Long Colt" DOES NOT EXIST!!!!! The Cartridge is .45 Colt. That being said, .45 Colt is my favourite.

44 has the power to knock down targets for sure. Great round. My Bisley puts a smile on my face when ever I pull that sweet trigger.
