With so many companies building AR's what is your opinion on RRA (Rock River Arm's) in terms of quality, reputation, where they sit in the pack, as a company, etc.

I ask this because I have one and am just starting to get back into shooting the darn thing after many years in the milsurp world.

Merry Christmas!

This is all great feedback. Thanks. It has given me reassurance that what I bought 4 years ago on an impulse buy was not a bad investment. Now to add some optics and go have fun at the range.

I have a 7.5" pistol model and a 16" in .223, as well as a 24" barrel .308 varmint model from RRA

All are completely reliable, accurate, no nonsense AR's

I have never regretted buying mine. It came with the RRA 2 stage match trigger which I really like. I have upgraded to an LMT 10.5" upper, there was nothing wrong with the original 16" RRA upper, but I just prefer the shorter LMT upper. I also have a CMMG 9.8" .22lr upper, but have never considered changing the RRA lower.
Enjoy your RRA!

Their two stage match trigger is pretty good. I've used their LPKs in several builds. A lot less hassle than those terrible DPMS kits from a couple of years ago. I just picked up a shorty for my brother last week. Just waiting for it to arrive. For their price point you get a lot of rifle ordinarily.

Love mine. I have a 24inch rifle length upper that is excellent for blasting prairie dogs at longish range (in the U.S.). The limiting factor at long range is the ballistics of the .223 round and not the rifle. My 16 inch mid length upper is also a trooper and I've long since lost count of rounds on that one. It will eat anything. With a scope it's also okay up to 200 yards. The two stage trigger is also great and breaks at 4.1 lbs (5 pull average). I've had several guys gush over it and have not seen a better trigger - also never tried a Giessel (sp?) though.

I love RRA firearms....never owned one, but I can tell through experience. They make serious precision AR's with match grade barrels and triggers.

I actually replaced my factory trigger on my Bushmaster Patrolmans Carbine / M4 Carbine with an RRA National Match 2-stage trigger and it is Soooooo freak'n amazing. Turned my AR-15A3 16" HBAR into a freak'n sniper rifle lol....best AR match trigger I've ever fired...was made in AR heaven .....that RRA match trigger in their 20" HBAR Match rifle would be a tack driver for sure.

They make amazing 9mm carbines too....10.5" 9mm AR-15A3 flat tops.....they made entry tactical carbines in 5.56mm and a long line of match grade / varmint / competition AR's that are Quality with a capital Q

Long live Rock River Arms ;)

I want one of their .458 uppers :)

Already have some brass, the dies, and a pile of .458 cast up.

Just have not decided to get the upper yet.

....and with the crappy dollar it might be a few years....

I had mine custom built back when Questar was new. Rifle took about 8 weeks to show up built to my specs & have not looked back or regretted it one bit. It's been on carbine courses, shot in 3 gun events and local competitions. Runs like a Swiss watch. You will get a lot of enjoyment / statisfaction out of a RRA rifle.

They are a way better buy then many AR's that cost twice as much. A lot of people use their varmint type rifles for service conditions type matches. They are accurate out of the box, and they run. Some may come at an entry level price, but they are well above entry level rifles.

my dad picked one of the Varmant ones and ive been waiting for it to filter down to me.... and hes holding onto it tightly!
got to shoot it last summer and this past summer and its a great AR!

i dont know about the wood he put on it.... but everyone has different tastes.

Had a LAR 15 NM A4. Was the most accurate off the rack NM 5.56 I have used. Cannot speak about the other models, but if the QC is the same as the NM A4 then they are excellent rifles.

Actually thinking of getting another one.....
