What I've learnt so far

I must say that since joining CGN just a few days ago I have learnt quite a bit about my Norinco M14. I have owned it nearly a year and was unsure as to its potential, especially since my other norinco is an SKS and I can do more damage swinging it as opposed to shooting it. I already have plans to pick up a Wenig stock and start swapping in aftermarket parts. I was of the impression the US barrels wouldn't thread to the reciever. I have previously dealt with Brownell's for a set of NM sights and had no issues, but that was when I first purchased the rifle, has anyone recently experienced any issues with acquiring parts from the US. And are there any suppliers of aftermarket parts in Canada? I will probably look into one of those M14 clinics in the future.

Thanks

what part are you thinking of? Barrels? definitely a big deal.

otherwise seems like you like dealing with brownells, they still apply the 100$ rule to international orders

Yep, after the $100 limit you need an International Import Certificate (IIC) which I'm in the process of doing now with Brownells. What a pain especially when the gov't site doesn't work properly. Then relax as this takes its sweet time as to when it all gets to the door.
