If yours is an FR8 you're fine. However, if it looks like any other Mauser, you want to be sure it is chambered in .308/7.62NATO. It should be stamped '7.62NATO'.
There's also a Spanish Mauser FR7 that uses 7.62 CETME. A reduced power 7.62 and should not be fired with 7.62NATO.
