You have an original Browning BLR - also referred to as a pre-81 BLR - a great rifle in amazingly good condition. The magazine is worth almost as much as the rifle.![]()
As mentioned by Guntech the other is a BAR , in good to very-good condition. I also agree the scope is a near-worthless.
Never could understand guys who'd mount a piece of crap like that Tasco on a good rifle.
Worthless junk that I wouldn't use as a car jack handle.
I would much prefer hunting with a $300 rifle and $400 scope than a thousand dollar rifle and a $50 scope.![]()
That's true about the back east sort of contraption. I am in the east, and you don't know how many rigs like that I have seen. Until recent years, nobody cared at all about the quality of optics... They were simply a set of crosshairs for people that didn't like open sights. There still ain't many people that will pay as much, or more, for a scope as they did for the gun, but at least they are paying $300-$400 instead of less than $100 for a scope lolThey are both unique in their own stance.
The BLR is in great shape.
I've seen them all over the map for $$.
I'd gamble $650 for a price.
Might be worth more, but time would be on the buyers side.
The BAR is also in great shape, but the suitcase apparatus on top needs to removed.
That's a back east sort of contraption.
It is in wonderful shape other than that peskie caliber.
You might fetch $750 for it, but not from me.
Nice ketch if you garnnerd them for a g-note.
