What kind of grouping should I expect from...

Why no duty at the border? There should be if you declare your purchase. If not... I wouldn't want to be caught.. and fined.

I declared it.

I've always declared everything and never been charged duty... typically as long as it's not tobacco or alcohol they don't care.

Actually one time I had to pay duty for some booze.

My mistake! You were all making it sound too accurate to be true, so I checked the range's website and it's 55 yards. Sorry.

So 1.5" groups from 55 yards. Is that what's expected? This would be about 3" groups at 100 yards if my logic is correct.

I purchased the ammo in the states... I'll post some grouping pictures later of my targets from 55 yards, and I'll do some ACTUAL 100 yard shooting :p

That's still better then average, be glad of what you have, I think. - dan

I guess it depends on the rifle. I got these groups with Federal American Eagle ammo and my CIL 310/Anschütz with a Simmons 3-9 scope:

Well done!
Where do you buy this ammo, and how much?

It's nothing fancy- just the "cheap" line from Federal that my local shop stocks by the brick (500 rds.) I haven't bought any for a while but it was about $15/500 as I recall. You can probably get it at Canadian Tire.

We're talking about a 10-22 Josquin. Those kind of groups from that kind of rifle are very unusual. I have two Anshutz rifles, both are sighted for 100 meters, but I've never owned (or seen) a 10-22 that shot as well at half the distance. - dan

Very true, Dan. That's why I said "I guess it depends on the rifle", which was an oblique way of saying "not b****y likely with a 10-22!" although possibly a tricked-out Volquartsen might come close.
