what kind of oil to use on a sks

But in all seriousness, I use Rem Oil with Teflon, seems to work fine, no build up, lubricates well enough, cheap like the budgie

WD-40. It doesn't get the same oil as the higher end guns. I have to wipe the breech block & firing pin dry in cold weather or it will freeze up and not fire.

Sometimes, when i shoot at the range in summer, standard gun oil on bolt and carrier but very very sparingly but most of the time i dont oil or grease. Keep the gas system oil free. In cold weather, no oil at all. Anyway the SKS dont need oil to function flawlessly:)

I use stuff called PWD, it comes in a green can. The British military uses it apparently, and I find it great, and it smells good too. Cheers.

I just have some synthetic gun lube in a yellow can, so far it's outlasted two cans of gun cleaner, wish I could get something cheaper at Hub Sports...$18 a can and it doesn't last long
