I bought an 1100 a while ago and abandoned the 870 as my trap gun. I sold the express barrel i had on it and have been turning it into a tac/utility gun. Ive got a 20 inch IC rifle site barrel, extension mag etc.
The receiver is in great shape....NICE. I havent changed the stocks since the wood is way too sharp. Luckly my uncle is giving me his beater 870. So now i can make whatever i want and find a vent rib for my nice one.
My uncles gun has a plain barrel too bad......So heres what im thinking.
Either keep the 20 inch with sights or sell it to finance the barrel chop and choke and a synthetic stock. I plan to use the 870 for small time matches at the gun club. What do you guys prefer for tac shooting sights or bead?
I know the choke would do a world of good though. Or anyone still use poly chokes? Will post in the looking for section when i figure out whats going and staying.
