Germany planned for the Blitzkrieg: all-out offense in someone else's country. They needed the motorcycles, trucks, fast tanks, rapid-fire MGs, short rifles and SMGs.

Switzerland planned for a set-piece fully DEFENSIVE war in their own back yard. A long, heavy rifle was no handicap, so long as it was ACCURATE at long and intermediate ranges.

And it was!

NO dinosaurs.....
