Ok... maybe this is a retarded question but...
I have a 10.5" BBL on my LMT upper and I'd like to replace the current handguard with a Troy or Daniels Defence... I am thinking of taking off the the KAC FF handguard, take off the front sight post, and then have it milled into a low profile (but still pinned and still made @ LMT specs) gas block.
So my question is ... what length handguard do I need to go past the gas block (so I can use a flip up front sight) but not exceed BBL length...
I would think a 9".
