What make of rifle is this?

I got the pics from an auction site, were it says that it is a Norinco in 308 WIN.

They have a lot of misinformation on their site, and I do not tend to believe them.

I'm not sure why anyone would say it's a Norinco if it's something else.

I mean no offense, but usually a swindle works the other way - they tell you it's a Winchester (or whatever), and then ship you a Norinco.

Never seen one like that, almost looks like an early BSA with that cocking piece.

I believe Norinco marketed a couple of bolt action high powered sporting rifles. M70, M98 clones?
Not imported into North America in any quantity.
One version had a pinned in barrel.
I would be very cautious, particularly if bidding sight unseen.
