This will be my first go at a target/varmint round for my 7mm-08.I have successfully created accurate hunting rounds but i think this may be a different game all together. There isn't alot of 7mm stuff out there for this application but enough. My initial thoughts and what I am going to test will be the Match Kings in 130 and 150 grain.

Anybody else have luck with these or any other brands or thoughts on this adventure.

I have never used them myself, but Cooper uses the 130gr Matchking when testing their 280 and 280AI rifles. At least that is what is listed on the test targets.

162gr Amax's

Edit - nevermind, I misread and ignored the varmint portion of the use. The 162gr Amax will be a great target bullet, but not much use on varmints. FWIW, the two purposes are somewhat at odds to each other. The optimal choices for each use are nowhere near each other.

This thread needs a Canadian plug. Guys, you should look at Matrix Ballistics. He makes excellent hunting and match bullets
