Hi all.
I have had this old browning .22 semi takedown for a few years and have shot it a lot as my favourite rimfire plinking/hunting rifle. Very accurate and reliable.
Trying to find out what model it is and if anybody has parts for it. The barrel adjust ring doesn't lock very well, and was hoping to get a new one.
This rifle loads from the back of the wrist instead of the side of the butt. Marked .22long rifle smokeless
Anybody know when these were produced?

It appears to be a very early rifle. Brownings website seems to indicate between 1914 and 1950's. Mine has no letters in the serial. I think I paid 80 bucks for it!

Thanks. Sure is no beauty queen, but a very fine rifle, and extremely well made. I can't imagine how many thousands of rounds have gone through it, but still shoots as good as any other .22 I've had.

I know about the adjustment, it's just that the external teeth are worn and the lock doesn't hold the ring for more than about 20 shots without the barrel working loose.
