What do people recommend for reloading .303 Brit? Ideally I'd like to cast my own, but Im having trouble finding a decent mould in the right size. Also, Im in the back of beyond and dont have alot of access to reloading supplies - need to go with the most efficient option; any suggestions?

tons of info on most effective loads on the net for this caliber. that being said i use hornady 174grn rn's with good accuracy with 4064 or 3031

If you want to shoot cast, you must measure the throat, then get a cast bullet that can be sized to that or just a bit over. I used cerrosafe on my 49 Longbranch and it measured 0.317. there was a group buy going on at castboolits.com and i got in on it and got a custom Lee six banger that throws them at .317. ,30 cal gas checks work fine. I use a Lee collet die that neck sizes only, and the Lyman M die. I push the bullets at 1900 fps for excellent accuracy, no leading, and lots of cheap shooting.

You really should slug your bore, if it is .314" or less, Lyman's #314299 may be just right, also #311284 is good if it drops large enough for your bore. If these don't work (too small) a CBE mold may be in order as they make 'em oversize and up to .317" or more. I have them all, and they all have their place. The .303 is not a fav. over on Cast Boolitts website, to get in on a group buy, i don't believe as Americans are not as close to this cal. as we are.

Do as others have said and let us know what the bore/throat size is. I have a few custom sized 6 cavity molds for different sizes of .303 brits that I no longer need.
