At the range today, had a KKJ Walther clip feed sporter that I installed a 12x scope on weeks prior, well I did not remember I just finger tightened to the dovetail :D
After 50 rounds it fell off the gun when I canted it to the right:eek: The funny part , I sighted it in, and was shooting groups, but now and again the groups would move around, I figured, that darn gunnut sold me a crap scope:D
Anyway this baby come alive when I snugged her up, and these Walthers love Federal classic 40 gr solids,
Thank god it was rimfire. I might have had a face full of scope.;)

Thanks for a great start to my day Levi. Great story, and I am glad you get her shooting.

Not to worry though, if you were shooting a hard kicker the scope would of slid forward, don't ask how I know, I just do.

Siwwy wabbit! ;)

Coupla weeks ago I was trying to sight in the OEM Colt scope on my AR for the first time since I'd bought the rifle back in the late 80's. After 20 rounds at 50 yards and being no further ahead, I realized that 3 of the four screws holding the scope body to the mount were loose, and the 4th one was MIA

I had the scope loosen off(I had tightened it with a screwdriver....but that was some number of years earlier) and fall off on my savage MK II My buddy and I were shooting it all day, probably put about 300 round through it. All of a sudden buddy couldn't hit anything, he looked at said "I think there's something wrong with your gun..."and that moment the scope just fell right off the rifle. Classic!

Hey Levi, I had the EXACT same thing happen to my primo number one rimfire hunting rig. I was swearing up and down about the crappy rimfire Bushnell... And about thirty rounds later realized the rings had worked themselves loose...

Good thing you didn't bugger up your scope....
